That's the video for the release of single. There will be another, seperate video for the Directions collection.

Just a reminder that Paul's video will only be up for this weekend and then Monday we shift to Cat Solen's "Soul Meets Body".

Cat directed the Bowl of Oranges and At The Bottom of Everything videos for Bright Eyes and her piece is decidedly different from Paul's.

i've been away from the boards for about a week and i come back to find this. anyways, the first video is pretty good. i'm really excited for the other videos though. and of course, i'm going to start saving up my pennies for the DVD.

So, Aaron, do you think you're ever going to do anymore video diaries with the band?

Maybe those would return in some other form in future. A lot of what we shot never went up for various technical reasons but snippets of everything shot were incorporated into the iTunes video profile you get with the version of Plans at the iTMS.

I got the feeling directions was Nick's baby just by the way he talked about it and some of the interviews I've read. Was it initially his idea?

i'm so pissed that i didn't see the 'marching bands' vid cause my computer decided to f*** up and by the time i was back online, soul meets body was up

i guess im gonna have to wait until the dvd comes out but knowing AUS (and its slow import of things) that could be in like 3 yrs time.... grrrrrr

Uhm..Aaron, I hope you don't mind my posting this, but I'll edit it if you want me to.
If you open your Quicktime player in your computer, and go to File->Open URL in new window, and put in this address http://streamos.atlrec.com/qtime/atlantic/deathcabforcu...bands2-500_5152.mov, you'll be able to see the video still. And you can make it bigger. It looks even better when it's not so small. You can also do that for the trailer and the new video.
But now you have to promise to buy the DVD too. =)

Soul Meets Body is really good. I think I like it cause I see alot of the weird family home movies that we have at my house in it.

I also crack up everytime I see the deer head start to sing.

I agree. The deer singing is great.
