I can't wait for the 7,000 polls about which one is better on the boards.

Are they coming out once every few days or once a week? And are they coming out in order? When do you expect the DVD will be available?

I think the heartbeat quiver type thing in the Marching Bands video is kind of cool. Kind of weird. I don't really know why it makes me think of a heartbeat. Maybe it reminds me of heart cells beating in a Petri dish.

The dvd looks to be out April 11, 2006. I'm thinking it will be a weekly video...

I added the bolding to highlight some of the comments:

The pace was very obtrusive, it went too much with the music, was very cookie cutter, and didn't really further the advancement of the video. I was almost bored.

It would have been much more interesting if we start earlier, seeing something different than just the "office", follow the guy there, up the elevator and down the hall...and into the room.

Once he got into the "daydream" the video soared. The gimmick at the end with the girl was breathtaking. Let's just get there faster and in a more interesting way.

I am normally one who hates too much of the fast cutting in music videos today, but there is a difference between taking your time and just plain bad editing.

Hopefully others are better.

Yeah, it definately sounds like you liked it.

I really liked the video. I like the connection between, what I perceive to be lonely people, living close to each other. I think its a hopeful story.

I think the woman is quite stunning in the literal sense of the word. She's not classicly beautiful but she is beautiful and you would not forget meeting her.

As to Aarons question of the trailer, I love the mix between monochrome and colour, live action and animation. The band seem very interested in the project and supportive but Nick looks really worried at the start though?

Is there going tto be some sort of enhaced version of Plans to follow the screening. I would love to own this stuff. I don;t really like trad band videos. Video of live shows rarely adds anything to either the music or comes close to the live experience of a gig. BUt these will add something, an extra dimension, someone elses perspective to how I enjoy the music.

it was pretty good

I lost track, and then those words were said. You took the wheel and you steered us into my bed. Soon we woke and I walked you home and it was pretty clear that it was hardly love. - Death Cab for Cutie

2 Important notes.

The 24th is a typo. We are working to correct that at this very moment.

Every video will be active as a stream here for 7 days. So this started on the 23rd, and Soul Meets Body will go up on the 30th.

That unfortunately means you can only watch the videos the week they are active.

But the good news is every Monday you'll be able to come catch the new one.

I appreciate all your comments. We got 11 weeks ahead of us, so there's much more to come.

i agree with james, my take on the song has changed or has at least made me think about it more.

"i wish we could open our eyes, to see in all directions at the same time"

i used to think that this was arrogant/ignorant people. looking at something or perceiving it in one way and not being willing to look at it another way or at least consider other views etc

but now, i'm think it could be people that are too afraid to look at/do other things, and are too afraid to take the chance in doing them. but would like to...hence the line

"if i could open my mouth"

and its nice to see in the video that the guy found a way of getting around it, and so did the girl as she was clearly going through it aswell.
and how you see him stepping on the sand which is probably one of the things he's longed to do

i love the video...truly....love it Smiler
